excipients that may be suitable for parenteral use

Ashland provides a suite of products that may be suitable for use in parenteral, controlled release drug delivery systems. We have recently acquired technology that opens up new possibilities for manufacturing bioresorbable polymers and adds five product families for drug delivery to our portfolio, including poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) or PLGA. These polymers may be used for injected depot formulations as well as certain medical devices.

Complementary excipients include Aqualon™ CMC PH BET sodium carboxymethylcellulose, a suspending agent for two-component systems and PharmaSolve™ n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, a versatile solubilizer for one-component systems. In addition, certain Plasdone™ povidone grades and cyclodextrins may be suitable for use as solubilizers in parenteral formulations.

Ashland does not represent that these product grades, as provided by Ashland are sterile. It is the purchaser's responsibility to determine the suitability of each component of its own manufactured product for that product's intended use or uses.
