These water based, formaldehyde-free, and environmentally acceptable products are also moisture- and solvent-resistant and clean up with just water. Able to be applied through both extrusion or roll coating, they can be either hot or cold press-cured or RF-cured. The family of Isoset™ adhesives are designed to deliver strength faster than competing adhesives to maximize production as they are designed specifically for soft woods used in Engineered Wood Product applications. Specified by both architects and engineers, Ashland resins offer lighter weight and cost effective alternatives to traditional construction materials such as steel, aluminum, wood, stone and concrete. Able to be curved, corrugated, ribbed, textured or contoured, these unique products create beautiful designs while adhering to building codes. Research shows that pound for pound, fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) provide strength and resistance to severe and extreme weather conditions over more traditional building materials. Ashland resins are used to manufacture a wide variety of fire and low-smoke composites that are often specified in some architectural applications. Because of their high performance bond strength and excellent resistance to weather and heat, Isogrip™ adhesives are recognized and used in prefabricated panels that are used for both product and structural manufacturing. These user-friendly adhesives chemically react in the presence of moisture to form a thermoset bond. Ashland's offering of ICC-ES recognized adhesives offer excellent resistance to water, heat, chemicals and humidty making them the preferred adhesive for use in a multitude of building components. Ashland adhesives are found in many construction applications including exterior entry doors, garage doors, architectural panels, patio enclosures and structural insulated panels. Comprised of a single component, they also contain no VOCs or formaldehyde and are also non-flamable - making them the solution to many of your building needs.
