optiphen™ bd preservative is based on a combination of benzoic acid and dehydroacetic acid in benzyl alcohol. Ashland's nature-identical preservatives are ideal solutions for products aimed at the Eco-aware consumer. optiphen™ bd preservative is ECOCERT-, NATRUE-, COSMOS - and BDIH-compliant. The synthetic version of naturally occurring substances with excellent efficacy has proven to be an effective preservative system. This product is well suited for a veriety of natural personal care prodcts, if they conform to the necessary pH- conditions.
