GPIE 2012

Rubber and Plastics Research Association (RAPRA) Limited is hosting the first-ever Global Polymer Innovation Expo (GPIE) in Columbus. Columbus was selected as the location for the GPIE Expo because of the importance of Ohio in the polymer industry. GPIE will be focusing on six key growth areas; conductive and electronic polymers, polymer nanocomposites, high performance polymers, bio-based polymers and feedstocks, degradable and recyclable polymers and direct digital (additive) manufacturing. A unique aspect of this conference is that it includes site visits to industry leading companies.

Ashland is honored to be selected as one of the companies that will be hosting a site visit, which is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28 in Dublin, Ohio.  Joe Fox, Director of Emerging and External Technologies for Ashland Performance Materials, will also be speaking at the GPIE Expo. He will be presenting a plenary lecture on Monday, August 27 entitled “Commercialization of Bio-Based Resins and Green Composites.”
