Derakane 788/780/782 Resin System

  • Derakane 788 resin system is a blend of thickenable bis-A epoxy vinyl ester resin and a low profile additive.  This system is designed for use in SMC and BMC. Features include good heat resistance, excellent shrink control, high tensile elongation, and good dimensional tolerance.
  • Derakane 780 resin system is a thickenable novolac based epoxy vinyl ester resin for use in SMC and BMC applications. Derakane 780 resin system features include excellent physical properties, high heat and corrosion resistance, and good retention of physical properties up to 150 °C.
  • Derakane 782 resin system is a high-strength, thickenable, bis-A based epoxy vinyl ester resin for use in SMC and BMC. Features include excellent physical properties, good heat resistance, high tensile elongation, and good dimensional tolerance.

Arotran 600 Series

The Arotran 600 Series was developed to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) and odor for interior automotive applications.   By replacing existing materials and optimizing the cure of the system to insure all volatile material is incorporated into the polymer, the VOCs and odor are reduced.  The replacement materials are environmentally friendly and REACH compliant.

Arotran 300 Resin System

The Arotran 300 Resin system was developed to address the automotive industry’s need for light-weight, high-strength resin systems utilizing carbon fiber. The resin system is based on Epoxy Vinyl Ester chemistry and nano-composite technology.  Parts made with this resin technology will produce carbon fiber SMC structural composites with very high mechanical properties.
