Our Vessel Information & Planning System (VIPS) is a unique program designed to monitor and to help plan a vessel's fire fighting, rescue and lifesaving equipment inspection and maintenance services. VIPS is a patent-pending process that combines Drew Marine's technical expertise, Drew Marine Safety's service locations and a worldwide network of service providers with a state-of-the-art computer software tool. This combination of process, people and technology creates a unique system for us to act as a "partner in safety" with our valued customers.
VIPS proprietary software keeps track of regulations for FSR equipment, captures ship specific equipment information, calculates inspection intervals and sends notifications when services are due. VIPS acts as a single portal to global service. It provides worldwide arrangement of inspection services through one point of contact and ensures that services are performed by reputable, class-certified facilities. VIPS compares prices in different ports to help the ship operator decide what location is best to carry out services. It generates work orders, and sends and stores electronic safety certificates. VIPS also maintains a central repository of service history and certificates.
