Fuel sampling units and onboard fuel test kits related to viscosity, compatibility, density, pour point, water content and salt contamination help ship operators treat fuel and lube oils effectively during the bunkering process and while a vessel is at sea, before poor fuel becomes a problem.
Knowledge of a specific fuel's quality allows the operator to make fact-based decisions on how to best handle and treat the fuel to reduce sludge formation and optimize combustion.
Our product line includes:
- COMPAMAR fuel compatibility test
- DENSI-TEC™ fuel density test kit is designed to accurately measure the density of a variety of fuel grades
- DUAL-TEC™ lube oil test kit is designed to accurately measure the quantity of water present in lubricating oils, as well as the base number of new and used oils
- VISCOMAR™ fuel and lube viscosity test measures the kinematic viscosity of oil and calculates ignition quality of fuel as CCAI and CII values
