Zalta™ dewatering aids
Zalta™ dewatering and thickening aids are comprised of organic, synthetic, water-soluble, acrylamide-based polymers. These polymers are specifically formulated to accelerate settling of solids and increase the solids density in thickeners, clarifiers, and tailings ponds as well as improve the efficiency of mechanical dewatering operations such as disc, drum and belt filters, vacuum and pressure presses and centrifuges. Ashland also offers a range of Zalta™ inorganic and organic coagulants utilized for charge neutralization of colloidal solids and fine particulates to facilitate efficient separation and clarification.
