Ultra-Serv™ SOLID chemical delivery system
Effective protection of cooling water and boiler water systems from scale and corrosion requires the use of chemicals. Storing and handling liquid chemicals in pails and drums can be time consuming and can increase health and safety risks. To address these concerns, Ashland developed the patent pending Ultra-Serv™ SOLID chemical delivery system, which comprises a family of water treatment chemicals, delivered in solid form, that are subsequently converted to liquid form via a unique dissolver.
While other solid jar feeders are typically limited to small applications and have product consistency variations of the “made-down” product, which lead to performance concerns, the Ultra-Serv delivery system provides continuous and accurate chemical supply and the capacity to handle much larger applications.

Water Process Applications
Ashland Water Technologies’ Water Process Applications team is dedicated to helping customers improve the performance of their boiler, heating and cooling systems, and associated processes. The team supports customers worldwide from four technical centers that house extensive analytical capabilities and innovative process testing instrumentation. Using both laboratory bench and pilot scale equipment, the team can evaluate chemical and mechanical treatments and explore “what-if” scenarios under actual-use conditions. Customer Analytical Services
Ashland Water Technologies’ Customer Analytical Services team is dedicated to helping customers address the multitude of contaminants that can negatively impact the efficiency and reliability of their water-based systems. The team is made up of an experienced staff of analytical chemists, microbiologists and technicians and is supported by sophisticated testing equipment that provides rapid analysis and identification of contaminants beyond what may be accomplished with field-based methods. Key services provided by the team include fluid analysis, deposit analysis, microbiological analysis and metallurgical analysis.

PerforMax™ scale and corrosion inhibitors
Ashland’s PerforMax scale and corrosion inhibitors were specifically developed for use in cooling and self-scaling systems and formulated using patented, next generation polymers. The PerforMax product range includes phosphate- and nitrogen-free chemistries that are available as a solid disc, reducing shipping and handling requirements. The discs are specially formulated and manufactured to be used in conjunction with the Ultra-Serv SOLID chemical delivery system.
