Water Process Applications
Ashland Water Technologies’ Water Process Applications team is dedicated to helping customers improve the performance of their boiler, heating and cooling systems, and associated processes. The team supports customers worldwide from four technical centers that house extensive analytical capabilities and innovative process testing instrumentation. Using both laboratory bench and pilot scale equipment, the team can evaluate chemical and mechanical treatments and explore “what-if” scenarios under actual-use conditions. The hard data and insights gained during these evaluations allow Ashland to confidently recommend treatment strategies that ensure system efficiency.

PerforMax 3-S Scale Inhibitors
Ashland’s high-performance range of PerforMax 3-S scale inhibitors were specifically developed for use in cooling and self-scaling systems and formulated using patented, next generation polymers. The PerforMax 3-S product range includes phosphate- and nitrogen-free chemistries and is available in higher concentrations, which reduces handling requirements during application. When used in conjunction with the OnGuard 3S fouling analyzer, PerforMax 3-S scale inhibitors provide optimal system protection.
OnGuard 3S Fouling Analyzer
Using proprietary ultrasonic technology, the innovative OnGuard 3S fouling analyzer directly measures very low levels of scale/fouling buildup in systems. With real-time system performance data, customers can quickly react to even the most minor system imbalances to ensure optimum system operating performance. The OnGuard 3S fouling analyzer is a plug-and-play technology that is installed in-line with low investment required by the customer.
