SunCare™ TopCoat UV absorber

SunCare TopCoat UV absorber is a breakthrough UV-protection additive that protects binder integrity of a broad range of clear to semi-clear waterbased systems – with major uses in wood coatings and varnishes.

This nano-scalic emulsion of optimized water-insoluble UV-absorbers and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) offers broad spectrum protection (290 to 380 nm) with excellent performance in the UV range. This is achieved through the employment of significantly smaller particle sizes of the UV active, with better particle distribution in the emulsion.

Tests have shown that SunCare TopCoat UV absorber can be up to four times more effective than traditional water-based coating UV-protection additives. While SunCare TopCoat UV absorber does offer some protection of treated substrates, for wood substrate protection it functions most effectively in situations where other SunCare products are also employed.
