Peroxydone™ complexes INCI Name: PVP (and) Hydrogen Peroxide
Peroxydone complexes are a family of highly stable, solid complexes of hydrogen peroxide with pharmaceutical-grade polyvinylpyrrolidone. Supplied as a white powders, the complex releases hydrogen peroxide on contact with water or saliva in the mouth to deliver hydrogen peroxide, resulting in brighter and whiter teeth.
These unique complexes are stable in a wide range of solvents and provide excellent substantivity, bioadhesion, film-forming and formulation thickening. They can be used at any formulation viscosity.

Peroxydone complexes are highly effective as teeth whiteners because they release hydrogen peroxide on contact with water or saliva. They are highly stable and retain most of the properties of the base polymer. They can be easily formulated as gels, liquids, and tablets. Because the base properties of the polymer are maintained, Peroxydone complexes can be used to form cleaning tablets.
