Drewsperse™ deposit control agents
Drewsperse deposit control agents comprise a family of products that effectively control scaling and water-borne fouling in open recirculating and closed cooling water systems. A variety of antiprecipitating agents are available to address multiple types of scales, including those caused by the precipitation of carbonate, phosphate and sulfate.
Additionally, a variety of antifoulant and dispersant products are available to address problematic foulants such as suspended solids, oil, grease, iron and biological matter. Ashland will recommend the most appropriate Drewsperse product based on a number of factors, including the type of cooling water system, the problem at hand and the water chemistry.

Corrosion Monitoring and Metallurgy
Problems related to corrosion cost commercial and industrial plants billions of dollars each year. Although a variety of means exist to inhibit corrosion, it's important to identify the root cause of the corrosion. Ashland Water Technologies’ Corrosion Monitoring and Metallurgy group provides failure analysis and assessments of steam-generating and heat-exchanger equipment. Working closely with customers, this team provides clear identification of the problem, which leads to a more rapid and effective solution. Key services provided by the group include failure analysis, corrosion coupon analysis, and elemental and compound analysis.
Water Process Applications
Ashland Water Technologies’ Water Process Applications team is dedicated to helping customers improve the performance of their boiler, heating and cooling systems, and associated processes. The team supports customers worldwide from four technical centers that house extensive analytical capabilities and innovative process testing instrumentation. Using both laboratory bench and pilot scale equipment, the team can evaluate chemical and mechanical treatments and explore “what-if” scenarios under actual-use conditions. The hard data and insights gained during these evaluations allow Ashland to confidently recommend treatment strategies that ensure system efficiency.
