Disintex™ disintegrants
The Disintex disintegrants series – Disintex 75 and 200 disintegrants – are proprietary blends of polyvinyl polypyrrolidone (PVPP), cellulose and/or inert salts. They are used extensively as disintegrants in laundry and dishwashing detergent tablets, taking advantage of their high swell
volumes. The cross-linked PVPP homopolymers are highly hydrophilic and will rapidly absorb water on contact to swell and create internal stress points that will break up tablets.
