Aquarius™ coating systems
Aquarius coating systems, a family of dry, fully formulated film coatings systems, are available for both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical solid dosage forms. Ashland formulators have access to an unrivaled range of cellulosic excipients, enabling Aquarius coating systems to be tailored to meet exacting requirements. Aesthetic Aquarius coatings deliver a smooth, defect-free appearance with excellent logo definition. These products can also be tailored for extra adhesion on challenging cores.
In addition, white and color systems are sprayable at 20 percent solids, which means faster throughput and reduced labor and energy costs compared to conventional, lower-solids coatings. SRX grades are used for modified release drugs, and MG types provide superior moisture resistance.
