Amerscent™ neutralizing/masking agents
Amerscent™ neutralizing/masking agents are formulated from organic compounds that effectively control odors and reduce the concentration of hazardous hydrogen sulfide gas from process and wastewater systems with minimal capital investment. The organic compounds react with the sulfur-containing gases to form stable compounds that are not released to the atmosphere. Amerscent neutralizing/masking agents are applied as a liquid to the offending area in the water phase or as a spray into a vent or stack.
The products are easy to handle and feed, and unlike metal salts, are not corrosive and do not produce sludge as a byproduct. Typical application areas include black liquor tank vents, non-condensable gas vents and tanks, scrubber bypass stacks and vessels requiring personnel entry. Vessel entry times can be reduced compared to conventional air purging when these products are used to scavenge hydrogen sulfides in tanks during outages.
