Third-party service providers fill a much-needed role supporting Ashland’s ever-expanding supply chain. Due to this critical role, Ashland has a comprehensive assessment program to ensure the selection of third-party service providers that operate responsibly, safely and in compliance.
This global program unifies the selection and management processes for various types of contracted services, such as manufacturing, waste management, container reconditioning, bulk terminal operations and warehousing. Among the basic tenants of the process are specific requirements for management systems that ensure proper and sufficient assessments of risk, vendor capability (operational and quality) and environmental, health, safety and security compliance, as well as compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The results of the assessment are scored based on the Ashland Responsible Care* standards.
