Business leaders invited to learn about Responsible Care
Our manufacturing site in Araçariguama, Brazil, hosted a group of business leaders from the local Industrial Association of São Roque, Alumínio, Mairinque and Araçariguama, representing businesses in neighboring cities to our plant.
The main focus of the meeting and plant tour was the opportunity to present Ashland’s Responsible Care initiatives.
“The group was very interested in knowing more about the origins of Responsible Care and Ashland's initiatives relative to it,” said Luciano Carlini, plant manager. “We also introduced our Zero Incident Culture program, which was a key focus of the presentation and evident throughout the plant tour.”
Also in attendance was the head of economic development for São Roque, the largest city near Araçariguama.
“Araçariguama is a small town, surrounded by a region of other small towns. Opening our doors for these leaders of local businesses is a great way to be to showcase Ashland's presence and our commitment to being a positive community member,” said Andy Beer, commercial director, South America.
