We’re big on the idea that individual contributions matter to the organization. In fact, individual contributions have become the cornerstone of Ashland’s highest level of employee recognition – the annual Chairman’s Awards recognition program.
Each year, the Chairman's Awards program provides an opportunity for Ashland Chairman and CEO Jim O’Brien to recognize individuals who are making great things happen across the company in the areas of:

A single winner is selected for each category and recognized with personal testimonials on their selection criteria and a custom-designed sculpture at the annual Ashland Leadership Team meeting. On top of that, winners for the Chairman's Awards for Innovation, Environmental Health and Safety, Business Excellence and Leadership receive cash awards of $10,000. The Chairman's Award for Community Enrichment winner receives a $5,000 cash award and designates a $5,000 gift from Ashland to a charity of their choice.
Ashland’s other employee recognition programs include a number of performance and service awards, including the Quarter Century Club program, which recognizes employees who achieve 25 years of service with the company.
