| EXACTCAST® Sleeves |
EXACTCAST Sleeves are dimensionally accurate with consistent quality and can be used with automatic core setters.
They can replace fiber-based insertable, dome, neckdown and cylindrical style sleeves, and conversion is easy.
They do not require specially designed cavity formers nor an oversized cavity for the sleeve, which reduces the
batch-to-batch sleeve variation. They are made from low-density, non-fiber insulating materials, which eliminate
sand screen clogging. They also have a lower gas evolution than other fiber-based sleeves, which reduces casting
defects and improves efficiency.
They have high compressive and tensile strength, helping to avoid deformation, spring-back and/or crushing during
molding. Thus they can be use in mold applications that demand both good dimensional accuracy and high strength.
The sleeves also can be used in shell and permanent molds where fiber-based sleeves traditionally are not.
