Polyclar brand PVPP beer stabilizer products are classified as process aids and, therefore, are label friendly.

Wine

Polyclar brand stabilizers are permitted for use in the European Community (EC), the United States, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland and other countries with regulations covering the use of additives and process aids in wine making.

Polyclar brand stabilizers are permitted for use in wine stabilization throughout the EC, under Regulation Number 2253/88, 19 July 1988, amending Regulation Number 822/77; effective 1 September 1988.

Polyclar brand stabilizers comply with International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) regulations for wine. The current U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulation covering Polyclar brand stabilizers is found in Title 21 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations, Part 173.50, Secondary Direct Food Additives for Human Consumption – polyvinylpolypyrrolidone.

The current United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) ruling (found at 27 CFR 24.246), permits the use of Polyclar brand stabilizers as a clarifying and stabilizing agent in the cellar-treatment of wine.

Non-alcoholic Beverages

Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP) is permitted for use in beverages in all countries with regulations covering the use of additives and processing aids. Always seek guidance from your local regulatory authorities.
