Mr. Harris currently serves as vice president of Ashland Inc. and president of Ashland Distribution, a leading source of chemicals and plastics in North America and in the European plastics distribution market. He was most recently vice president of the Ashland Performance Materials division and general manager of its Composite Polymers business group, a leading supplier of products, processes and composite technologies to the global reinforced plastic composites marketplace.

Mr. Harris joined the company in January, 2004. Prior to Ashland, Mr. Harris worked for FMC Corporation where he last served as general manager of the Food Ingredients Division within FMC’s Food, Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Group. He joined FMC in 1992.

Mr. Harris is a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University. He also holds a master’s in business administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
