Lamar M. Chambers
Vice President and Controller
Mr. Chambers is responsible for Ashland's global financial accounting and reporting processes, including oversight of accounting policies and practices, external and internal financial reporting and new accounting standards and developments. Mr. Chambers joined Ashland in 1976. His wide range of responsibilities has included financial analysis and internal auditing for Ashland Inc., Ashland Coal and Ashland Paving And Construction, Inc. (APAC); controller for APAC; executive assistant to former Ashland Inc. chairman and CEO, John R. Hall; administrative vice president for Ashland Petroleum Company; vice president, finance and controller for Marathon Ashland Petroleum, LLC; senior vice president, finance/administration for APAC; and vice president of regional operations for APAC.

Mr. Chambers is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A native of Marietta, Ga., he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of West Georgia in 1976. Chambers is also a graduate of the Executive Development Program at Indiana University's Kelly School of Business.
