In addition to producing ethanol, many fuel ethanol plants also produce corn oil, a valuable coproduct.
Ashland was he first company to develop corn oil extraction aids specifically for fuel ethanol plants. Notably, these extraction aids have enabled a number of North American plants to increase their corn oil yields by up to 300 percent. The output is cleaner and higher-quality, too.
Our technology modifies the chemistry of corn syrup, enabling more oil to be extracted from the syrup. The difference in output can be seen within three to five minutes of application.
