Pliogrip products have been used in automotive and truck collision repair since the late 1980's. Today, Pliogrip may be found in various Pliogrip-branded, co-branded and private-label variations throughout the world.
Pliogrip 7700 polyurethane cartridge products have widespread use in aftermarket plastic repair applications including bumper repair, plastic and composite panel repair, and bonding of SMC or plastic replacement panels. Pliogrip 7700 variations have been listed in repair manuals and/or approved for repair by General Motors, Chrysler, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, and others. Pliogrip 7700 products are listed in OEM repair bulletins because they pass OEM composite bonding specifications. Pliogrip 5761B panel bonding adhesive is formulated for bonding steel, SMC, and aluminum. It may be used in panel bonding or weld-bonding using squeeze-type resistance spot welding. Work time - 90 minutes; clamp time - 4 hours. Pliogrip 5761B contains 10 mil glass beads for bondline control. The product is an epoxy, not acrylic or acrylic hybrid, and accordingly, has minimal odor compared to acrylics. Pliogrip Panel 60 panel bonding adhesive is formulated for bonding steel, SMC, and aluminum. It may be used in panel bonding or weld-bonding using squeeze-type resistance spot welding. Pliogrip Finishing Cream is an epoxy skim coat repair product used for 1-sided repair of TPO bumpers and composite body panels. Adhesion Promoter TP & Adhesion Promoter TPS are adhesion promoters for use on TPO bumpers to improve adhesion. Adhesion Promoter TP is a solvent-borne solution. Adhesion Promoter TPS is an aerosol. These products are formulated and produced by Ashland Performance Materials.

Pliogrip by Valvoline
In 2006, Ashland Performance Materials launched the Pliogrip by Valvoline line of body repair adhesives and sealers into the auto aftermarket in North America while continuing to supply other key distributors in the market. Pliogrip by Valvoline is now managed by a 3rd party master distributor Bonding Solutions LLC, 3703 W Parkway Boulevard, West Valley City, UT 84120. This business is operated independently from Ashland Inc., Ashland Performance Materials, and the Valvoline Company, though the adhesives continue to be manufactured by Ashland Performance Materials.
